The Beef Teriyaki : Indonesian style teriyaki



Hi Guys! This will be my last food post for my blog project. i don't have the photo of the food, so i decided to use my photo of me and the food. This is a Beef teriyaki. I am using the kikoman teriyaki sauce (found it in Indonesia). This food is usually best eaten with rice, japanese eat it with a bowl of rice on their hands. Cooking time is approximately 15 minutes. Ingredients and tools are already mentioned in the steps. Enjoy Cooking!









Step 1 : (Tools used : Knife, Cutting Board. Ingredients Used : Whole Beef)
Cut the whole beef into slices first, the beef should not be too small or too thick, too thick will not make you get a maximum flavour. The beef slice should probably be as thick as the photo beside) Then put the slices of beef to a plate









 


Step 2 : (Tools used : Shredder. Ingredients Used : Kikoman Teriyaki Sauce, Ginger, Black pepper)
Shred the ginger first into pieces, and then you pour the kikoman (Don't pour too many), the ginger and the black pepper. Then, you mix it with a spoon or with your hand, sometimes using your hand is easier because it's quite wet and it might slip through your spoon causing some difficulties to mix












Step 3 : (Tools Used : Frying pan. Ingredients Used : Onion and step 2)
Cut the onion into 6 pieces (not dicing it). Then  Put all the beef that has already been mixed with ingredients on step 2 to the pan, turn on to medium-low heat, and then sautee it until the beef for a while, then add some liquid cornstarch for a thick teriyaki sauce, then sautee againhas already extract all the sauces then turn off the heat and serve it in a bowl. Then it's done!

The Variation Juice : Healthy For The Win!

Hi Guys! Here is my 3rd post for the drink. didn;t have any idea about what to make for the drink. I decided with something healthy, something like a juice, fruit juice with some veggies, so here it is, the variation fruit juice with pear, pineapple, apple and carrot. Cooking time should be approximately 10 minutes. Ingredients and tools are already mentioned in the steps. Enjoy making it! 





Step 1 : (Tools used : Knife. Ingredients Used : Pineapple, apple, carrot and pear)
First, Process(olah) the pineapple (sorry i cannot show you the steps on how to process the pineapple because it's a bit hard to explain it orally), Cut the apple and pear into half (we also half pear and apple), take out the skin and cut them into pieces, it shouldn;t be too small. The Cut 2 pieces of carrot, the carrot will also make the colour of this juice good, so it's a good idea to add it.













Step 2 : (Tools Used : Blender, Ingredients Used : 50 ml of water, 3 ice cubes)
After step 1 is done, then it's ready to be blended! first , put the ice cubes and water to the Blender (so that it can be blended easily. if it still can't, you should cut the fruits into another half)












Step 3 : (Ingredients Used : step 2 and sweet condensed milk)
after you have blend it, Pour it to a glass, the sweet condensed milk is optional. if you don't like the sweetness from the fruits, then you might want to add it.  Sweeten condensed milk also makes the texture of the Juice thicker.  Add some decorations if you want, and it is done :)

The Nutella Hot Chocolate : Are you Hazel"nuts"?!



Hi Guys! Today i found out one recipe that for me is quite simple and you guys might like it : The Nutella Hot Chocolate. yes, Nutella is delicious when you use it for toasts, but i wanna make something different, I thought a good hot nutella beverage would be good! Cooking time is approximately 10 minutes. Ingredients and Tools are already mentioned in the steps, Enjoy Making it!





Step 1 : (Tools Used : Pan, Big Spoon, Cup. Ingredients Used : Milk, Nutella)
Pour The Milk into the cup that you want to use,  then, pour half of the milk from the cup to the pan, add 1-2 spoonfuls of nutella (If you want a less sweet one, only put 1 spoonful of nutella. but if you want a sweeter one, put 2 or more spoonful of nutella) Turn on the Heat to low, Then Mix it till the Nutella has dissolved







Step 2 : (Tools Used : Cup. Ingredients Used : Step 1)
Pour the other half of milk from the cup to the pan, and then stir it again. once you have got a good chocolate colour in the milk, Turn off the heat, Then Pour the Nutella Hot Chocolate To Your Cup. (Note : Just like i've said in the Pudding Post/the 1st post, it's better you don't leave the milk in the pan)




Step 3 (Optional) : (Ingredients Used : Marshmallows)
Just an additional step. This Nutella chocolate is best drank with marshmallows, People recommend it to me. Just add some marshmallows to the nutella hot chocolate and it's done!

Variations:
Make it more chocolaty:
Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

Make it spicier:
Add a pinch (or more) of cayenne pepper and/or a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Make it more caffeinated:
Add a 1/2-1 teaspoon instant espresso powder or replace some of the water with brewed espresso

Spicy-Yellow Chicken : A bit of spicyness to this blog

Hi Guys! This is my 2nd food for the blog and the 3rd post. The Menu Today will be "Spicy-Yellow Chicken" or in Indonesia, we call it as "Ayam Rica-rica". This is a Traditional Indonesian Nusantara Food, it uses quite a lot of Spices(Indonesian Foods uses quite a lot of spices like India) Which results into a very delicious Meal. Cooking Time will be approximately 40-50 Minutes. Ingredients and tools are already mentioned in the steps. Enjoy Cooking!






 
Step 1 : (Tools Used : Knife, Bowl. Ingredients Used : 6 Pieces of red Onion, 1 Big Garlic, Galangal, 5 small Hazelnuts, ginger, Cayenne(Cabe Rawit), 2 Lemongrass leaves)
First, Process(Olah) the Ingredients above (The Galangal and ginger should be approximately 3 cm on diameter, The Cayenne depends on how spicy you want, usually i use 8-10 pieces, a spicy one is 16 or more, on the Lemongrass, You only want the white part of it) And put all of them into one bowl










Step 2 : (Tools Used : a Masher and its place. Ingredients Used : Step 1)
After You have processed your step 1, now prepare a masher and its place. This should be done step by step ; First, Mash The red onion, garlic, hazelnuts and Cayennes till it is soft (Don't put them all at once, Put them one by one and mash it), then now you can mash the ginger and Galangal till it has become really soft (The reason is Ginger and galangal contains so much water, so when you put them first, it will quite hard for you to mash it as the water will spill, so its better that you mash them in the end). For The Lemongrass, you only have to break it(not till pieces, just so that the lemongrass will be a break a bit) and we are done with the soft spices.











Step 3 : (Tools Used : Knife, Bowl. Ingredients Used : 2 Pieces of Chicken)
Cut The Chicken To Medium Pieces(Not too small, Not too big, You don't want it to become too big because you won't have maximum taste on the chicken, so that's why i use the chicken that is grown in the countryside for this) and Put them into a Bowl. (Remember to Clean the chicken first by immersing it in Water before Cutting)










Step 4 : (Tools Used : Frying Pan. Ingredients Used : Step 2, Turmeric Powder)
Put The Turmeric Powder(Picture Beside) To the Result of Step 2, And then turn on to Low heat,  Then Sautee the Spices To The Frying pan(Including The Lemongrass). 







 


Step 5 : (Ingredients Used : Step 3, 500ml of Water, 2 tea spoons of salt and MSG)
Put The Chicken into the Frying Pan And 500ml of Water to it, Then Mix it for a while, then add 2 teaspoons of salt and MSG, Mix it again, then close the frying panm and wait for approximately 20-25 minutes.









Step 6 : (Ingredients Used : Pandan Leaves)
after the waiting of 20-25 minutes, open the frying pan and then rise the heat a bit (so that the spices can be absorbed by the Chicken). Then add Pandan leaves(cut it into pieces first) for a better aroma, mix it again for a while. Done! Serve it with some decorations (This is Best eaten with Rice)

The Passion fruit Drink : Fresh Up Your World!


Hi Guys! Here is my first drink Post that i am very excited to post . The Passion fruit Drink (Indonesian : "Markisa"). 
This drink is quite easy to make, and note that i use my homegrown Passion fruit. The Passion fruit is the yellow-fleshed one so that it could be processed to a thick syrup.  while the white fleshed, you can eat it directly, but I'm not sure if it can be processed into a syrup



This is The Passion fruit photo that i took from my garden a while ago. This Yellow Fleshed Passionfruit is Very sour. so don't eat it directly




Some Facts about Passion fruit :
- It has Quite good amount of Vitamin A(For Skin) and Vitamin C(For your lips and body system against flu)
- The Flower of Passion fruit is The national Flower of Paraguay

Cooking Time Should be approximately 30-40 minutes. We Start from making the syrup. Enjoy Making it!







Step 1 : (Tools Used : Knife, Ingredients Used 6 Pieces of Passion fruit)
Cut the 6 Pieces of Passion fruit (remember, Use a cutting Board so that your table won't get dirty!). 








 
 


Step 2 : (Tools Used : Small Spoon, Pan. Ingredients Used : Step 1 & 450-500 gr of Sugar)
Slowly Take The fruit away from the skin, then, add 450-500 gr of sugar (This is extra sour, so i have to put that much sugar to the fruit in the pan, u might want a bit of sourness to the syrup, then you might wanna go for 400 gr of Sugar)









 Step 3 : (Tools Used : Pan, Big Spoon. Ingredients Used : Step 2, 50-70 ml of water)
(Sorry if the 1st pic is upside down) Turn on the heat to low, then mix the sugar and fruit for a while, then add 50-70ml of water (The Thickness of The syrup depends on the water). and Then Keep Mixing It, colour will start to become very light yellow and at last its colour will become a bit dark. (This takes about 15-20 minutes. it's quite long)







 Step 4 : (Tools Used : Filter, Spoon, small basin. Ingredients Used : Step 3)
Last Step. After Step 3 is done, Use The filter to seperate seeds and the Syrup. Use The Spoon to get maximum amount of The Syrup.  



 


Yup! and that is done for the syrup guys. how to make the drink? 3 simple steps. put 2 spoons of syrup to a glass, add water, add ice cubes, add some toppings if you want
